Prewedding Photography in Greece

I love photographing preweddings in Greece. This beautiful country, with its many islands is truly unique. It’s obvious why many couples from all over the world choose to have their pre wedding photos taken in Greece in places like Santorini, Mykonos or Athens. Prewedding photography in Greece is like no other place in Europe. Each island has its own characteristics and unique vibe. The islands are very well connected by fast ferries, making it possible to visit multiple islands during a prewedding shoot in Greece.

Prewedding photography in Santorini, Greece

Perhaps the most well known of all the Greek islands is the island of Santorini. Set on the side of a caldera, or an underwater volcano, this tiny island with its white villages with blue domes is the image that comes to mind for many when thinking about Greece.

In particular the town of Oia is a big tourist draw. Set on a hill overlooking the Mediterranean sea, this village is truly stunning. Early in the morning, when the cruise ships haven’t arrived yet and the tourists are nowhere to be found, is the best time for some prewedding photos in Santorini. As the sun rises over the horizon, the white buildings reflect that first morning light, creating a beautiful glow over the town and giving the sky a pink hue. The town of Oia can only be explored on foot. As you walk through the village, there’s a breathtaking view after each corner. I understand why this island is visited by so many tourists every year. It’s something truly unique.
