Reinier and Mahima contacted me a while back because they were engaged and wanted to do a prewedding photoshoot in the Netherlands. Seeing how Mahima is originally from India but now lives in the Netherlands (where Reinier is from), they wanted to really incorporate traditional Dutch scenery in one shoot. Mahima also wanted to incorporate a bit of her own Indian tradition as well so she had her hands beautifully decorated in the traditional Indian body art, henna.
We decided to visit the windmill village of Zaanse Schans as well as the beautiful tulip fields of Keukenhof. They planned the prewedding photoshoot for April, which is the peak of the tulip season. Despite the cloudy weather (this is Holland after all), we were still able to get some great shots. The romantic settings played nicely with the soft lighting. Reinier and Mahima were very comfortable in front of the camera and really enjoyed themselves throughout the shoot. They showed their true love they have for each other and it was clearly evident through the photos. At one point, Mahima gave Reinier some dance lessons to prepare them for their Bollywood moves they were planning to perform at their wedding. Needless to say, Reinier still has some practicing to do. 🙂
