Wedding Photography Tuscany – photography for your destination wedding in Tuscany, Italy.
I took off to Italy again this year for another beautiful destination wedding in Tuscany. It’s no wonder people choose this area of Italy for their destination wedding. There’s so much beauty all around ranging from rolling hills, breath-taking countryside landscapes, vineyards and olive groves, and the iconic cypress trees. And that’s just the nature. Tuscany is filled with old medieval towns and castles, each with its unique charm. No matter where you are in Tuscany, you will always feel welcomed and the locals are eager to make your stay memorable.
The town of Poppi is no exception. The wedding of Patrick and Fleur took place at Poppi Castle, located in the center of Poppi. This 12-century castle sits proudly on top of a hill overlooking the town. The morning of the wedding, a layer of fog came in over the rolling hills, creating a very dramatic backdrop. It wasn’t long before the sun came out to illuminate the castle and the beautiful scenery.
Patrick and Fleur both got ready at a private villa nearby along with their cute little daughter Alexis. They joined all their guests, all from the Netherlands, to the castle to attend the ceremony which took place inside one of the many halls. Following the ceremony, an ice cream truck was waiting outside to treat everyone with some delicious gelato. Although it wasn’t as warm outside as we all had hoped, the gelato was definitely a welcomed treat. As the guests headed back to the villa, Patrick and Fleur stayed back for some photos in and around the castle. It was a fun way to explore the town! We finally headed back and joined the guests for dinner followed by live music and an outdoor party that almost landed some guests in the pool! Overall a great destination wedding for a lovely couple.
