Simone and Nicky’s wedding at Kasteel Wijenburg was what you would expect at a beautiful castle. The 12th century castle, nestled among orchards, has a classic interior with a majestic library suitable for indoor weddings. But as it’s almost the case in the Netherlands, when the weather is favorable, you hold an outdoor ceremony. This is exactly what Simone and Nicky did and they took advantage of the fact that the ceremony would be held in the back of the castle allowing for an impressive backdrop. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and love, and a special moment as the grandmother delivered the rings. After the ceremony, the guests headed to the front for the cocktail hour followed by dinner and a unique first dance which consisted of a silhouette performance.
