‘A little party never killed nobody’…
As a wedding photographer, it’s always refreshing to see unique themed weddings. A classy and elegant wedding with the theme, ‘The Great Gatsby’? Sure why not! Pascal and Bart did just that.
Their wedding took place not too far from the Belgium border in the south of the Netherlands. It was held at their restaurant they both own called the Pannenkoekenrestaurant Dennenlucht. A large travelling mirror tent was constructed outside and decorated with mirrors and stained glass, vintage props, and champagne glasses. All the guests were asked to wear their best 1920’s art deco attire, complete with headpieces, feathers, pearls, bow ties, and top hats. Pascal and Bart wanted to make sure their day had an authentic roaring 20’s vibe.
After getting dressed at home, they hopped in a glamorous black & white vintage Rolls Royce. They headed out to a nature reserve for an outdoor shoot before arriving at the venue where all the guests welcomed them and greeted them as celebrities. After the ceremony, the guests got to enjoy some drinks and desserts during the cocktail hour and an elegant dinner. The evening continued with the roulette and blackjack tables opening up and swing music playing in the background while dancers and performers put on a great show!
Here’s some of my favorite moments of the day!
