I love any excuse to come back to my homestate of Florida…and to escape the Dutch winter?…sign me up! So when Mike and Nicole asked me to shoot their wedding in the Florida Keys, it was a no-brainer. Winter in Florida is probably the most pleasant as it’s not too hot and the weather is almost always favorable. This particular day proved just that. Blue skies, warm breeze, and full sun is what we all got.
Mike and Nicole chose the Coconut Palm Inn beachfront hotel in the Florida Keys as their wedding venue, complete with tiki huts, outdoor pool and private beach…oh and iguanas. Their guests wasted no time as they put on their bathing suits and sunbathed under the Florida sun before the big event later in the day. After getting dressed, Nicole walked down the long pier to join Mike who was anxiously waiting for her. They wandered around the colorful beach houses before returning for their beautiful outdoor ceremony overlooking the sea. As the sun was setting, Mike and Nicole danced on the beach with a golden sunset in the backdrop. This is why you get married in the Keys.
